    The Rogue River School District is accepting applications for the vacant Budget Committee Position #5 for the 2021-2022 Budget Cycle.  Interested parties must be a Rogue River School District resident and a registered voter, and not be an officer or employee of the district.  The term of office is three years.

    The Board will make the appointment to the Budget Committee at their April 20, 2021 Regular Board Meeting.

    By law, the Budget Committee, with the School Board, is charged with making recommendations concerning financial priorities.  This committee will have the responsibility for reviewing the financial program of the district, reviewing the proposed district budget as presented by the superintendent and recommending an annual district budget in keeping with the provisions of applicable state laws.

    The process to develop and adopt the 2021-2022 fiscal year budget will start in the Fall of 2020 with reviews of available resources, projected future resources and each site and program budget to see if savings and efficiencies could be found.  The District's Administrative team will look at the current budget and make recommendations to the Superintendent for developing the 2021-2022 budget.  In addition, the Superintendent and Business Manager will provide the Board and Community updated financial information as it comes available.
