Ms. Jessa Fricke
Ms. Fricke is a third-year teacher at Rogue River Elementary School. She teaches 6th grade language arts. She is very passionate about social studies, as well as reading and writing. Ms. Fricke has experience working in classrooms from the high school level, down to 5th grade.
As a Rogue River High School student, she played soccer and basketball and participated in the Arden Ensemble. She cares a lot about the community and has returned to help create positive change as a 6th grade teacher. She is excited to build connections with the students to encourage them to be themselves and get excited about learning.
Ms. Fricke graduated from Northwest Christian University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Teacher Education. Her focus was on social studies (because she loves history and geography), but her love of reading led her to expand her teaching license to include language arts. She played soccer at the collegiate level, but an injury cut her last season short.
Ms. Fricke’s passions outside of school are reading novels and about history, rafting, hiking, camping, and walking her dog, Otto. In Ms. Fricke’s spare time, she reads or discovers new facts for her favorite game, trivia. Any of her past students will tell you that she loves Harry Potter and she is very competitive.
